Almost 1,000 jobs and apprenticeships up for grabs in Grindsted

There will be plenty of opportunities when MAGION opens its doors on Thursday for this year’s Apprenticeship and Job Fair in Grindsted.

107 companies have signed up to attend – and between them, they are bringing around 400 vacant jobs and 575 apprenticeship and trainee positions.

So the fair is not just for young people looking for an apprenticeship. Jobseekers, seniors and people considering a career change can also meet employers face to face.

– A job or an education sometimes begins with something as simple as a good conversation. That is exactly what this fair can offer. It brings together people who might never otherwise have crossed paths. And suddenly, a conversation at a stand can be the start of a job, an apprenticeship or a whole new direction, says Lars Hansen, chair of the Children, Employment, Culture and Volunteering Committee in Billund Municipality.

From crafts to tourism

The 107 companies come from a wide range of industries. Both large international companies and smaller local businesses in areas including manufacturing, crafts, retail, tourism and services will take part.

– We have a strong business community in Billund Municipality, and that will be very clear on a day like this. Here, you can meet companies and industries you may not have known about before. It can open your eyes to new opportunities – both for young people choosing their path and for experienced workers ready for something new, says Lars Hansen.

The fair will welcome students from primary schools, youth education programmes and vocational colleges, among others, but the doors are open to anyone curious about the opportunities in the job market.

– There is no single right path into working life. Some people know exactly what they want. Others just need to discover an opportunity they didn’t know existed. That is why it is so valuable to bring together so many different companies and people under one roof, says Lars Hansen.

The 2026 Apprenticeship and Job Fair will be held on Thursday 24 September from 10 am to 2 pm at MAGION in Grindsted.
