We are looking for a new colleague to help us control rats in urban areas in Billund Municipality.
We need an employee who can advise residents and control rats using poison, traps and, if necessary, an air rifle.
We are looking for a careful, independent employee who is good at talking to residents.
The job is varied and offers plenty of freedom. You will have a colleague who also works in pest control, as well as the planning and project department, which helps fix sewer problems identified by the pest control officers.
Tasks are assigned electronically, typically on an iPad, so you should be comfortable using an iPad / iPhone.
The job requires R1 authorisation. If you don't have it, you will need to take a four-day course during your employment before you can control rats on your own.
The position is 37 hours per week.
Your main tasks, working alongside skilled colleagues, will be:
1. Controlling rats.
2. Advising residents on how to avoid getting rats and, if needed, what steps to take to get rid of them.
3. Inspecting sewers using smoke / a camera.
4. Other day-to-day tasks across the company
You will have the opportunity to shape your own tasks and influence the development of our work processes. You will receive relevant training in pest control. In your day-to-day work, you will report to the operations manager for the pest control officers.
You should enjoy a working day where no two days are quite the same and varied tasks are carried out alongside helpful colleagues. We focus on training and developing our employees.
You should be comfortable using IT and willing to learn the systems we use.
We expect you to be calm when dealing with other people, enjoy giving advice and not be afraid to control rats.

Billund Vand & Energi A/S is owned by Billund Municipality and is responsible for waste collection, running the municipality's recycling centres, rat control in urban areas, operating and maintaining the wastewater systems throughout the municipality, and supplying water to Billund town and the surrounding area. We operate five recycling centres, five wastewater treatment plants, a biogas plant and a waterworks.
